Forgetting Curve

Review topics before you forget them

Memory fades on a predictable curve. StudyWithAce tracks how strong each topic is for you and schedules a review just as it starts to slip, so you revisit material at the point where the review still does something.

What the forgetting curve shows

Every topic you study carries a mastery estimate that decays over time and strengthens when you review it successfully. The forgetting-curve view shows which of your topics are fading, which are holding, and which need attention now — so you are not guessing at what to revise.

A daily plan that spreads the load

Rather than dumping every overdue topic on you at once, the scheduler builds a daily review plan with a realistic workload — a couple of topics a day rather than a wall of them. Non-urgent reviews can shift by a day either way to keep the week balanced, while critical topics hold their place.

  • Priorities are clear: critical, due, and upcoming.
  • A seven-day view shows the workload ahead, not just today.
  • Your plan is saved, so refreshing does not reshuffle it.
  • Anything not relevant today can be removed from today's plan and will return later.

How reviews are passed

A review closes only when you actually demonstrate the topic — a full 20 out of 20 on the topic quiz. Passed topics advance along the curve and get a longer gap before their next review. Topics you did not pass stay due and reappear, with a fresh set of questions.

Working the plan

The plan tells you what to study; the focus timer gives you the block of time to do it in. If a topic is fading because the notes were never clear, regenerate them from your uploaded material first.
